WebMechanix, a Maryland-based digital marketing agency, announced that it won a platinum Hermes award for its digital display ad campaign on Google Ads, in addition to receiving an honorable mention. The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition that recognizes creativity in both traditional and digital marketing, with submissions judged by a panel of industry leaders. As one of the oldest and largest competitions of its kind, the Hermes Creative Awards attracts submissions from companies of varying sizes, ranging from small teams to Fortune 500s.

Spearheaded by designer Mike Kroptavich, WebMechanix’s ad campaign uses eye-catching imagery that features bold colors, llamas, elephants, and red lanterns, taking viewers on a journey around the world to exotic destinations.  The ad performed remarkably well, with the llama version seeing a $5 cost per click and an 8% conversion rate as of the beginning of 2020.

WebMechanix also received an honorable mention for a social media advertising campaign that tells the story of how a fitness equipment company substantially increased its return on ad spend with a savvy social media advertising strategy. WebMechanix’s creative team combined stunning professional photography with light, spring-friendly colors and compelling copy, developing a look and feel that fit the client’s brand.
