We’re always happy to celebrate new faces in the office! This week, we’re welcoming our new digital marketing apprentice, Casey Hawkins.
Tell us a bit about your background.
After growing up in Salisbury, MD I moved across the bridge to the “big city” of Towson for school. While at Towson I studied abroad in France for a semester and caught a huge travel bug; I hope to visit every continent, I have three to go.
In 2016 I graduated from Towson with a degree in business administration, my studies concentrations were marketing and economics. Since I’ve graduated, I previously worked for a small company doing accounting and I spend my free time relaxing with my boyfriend and our two dogs.
What attracted you to WebMechanix?
I went to college with Camille, who has worked at WebMechanix for a few years. I was constantly jealous of Camille’s joy over her job. When I started looking for a change in my own life, Camille suggested I apply to WebMechanix. I could not have been more excited about the suggestion. The more I talked to Camille WebMechanix, the more interested I became in joining the company.
Since starting at WebMechanix, I love that I have yet to have a “boring” day. I am challenged everyday because there is always a new problem to solve. The challenging nature keeps me on my toes, but I also know I have a wonderful and supportive team behind me if I need any help or guidance.
What do you hope to accomplish in your new role?
I hope to learn everything I can! Between the resources available and support from my team, my goal is to absorb as much knowledge as I can so I can expertly analyze data and implement great strategies for clients.
What’s something you learned recently?
Marketing Lesson: I recently learned about progressive profiling in HubSpot and I am very impressed. HubSpot forms can adjust the form fields visitors see over time to gather more detailed information and allow for detailed profiling/targeting.
Everyday Lesson: Chickens eat mice!
Which fictional character are you most like?
Lily Aldrin from How I Met Your Mother.
If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sushi! Alaskan Rolls if I have to pick only one roll.
What is your claim to fame?
I won tickets to an Aaron Carter concert about three years ago because I tweeted him roughly 500 times the evening before the concert.
