We're WebMechanix, a performance-marketing agency known for driving revenue and profit, not just leads and impressions. We develop and manage high-impact performance marketing programs for over 60+ clients, whether through a lead generation campaign, creating compelling ads, improving user experience, search engine optimization, nurturing prospects and enabling sales, or creating and deploying custom web experiences.

We’re growing and are looking for a director-level person who fits our culture and is passionate about bringing innovative & thoughtful digital marketing strategies to our clients.

If you’re an “intrapreneur” - this role is for you. You will lead a book of business comprised of clients and a dedicated team of experienced digital marketers and account managers. You probably spend half your time directly engaged with your top clients (and their working teams), and the other half of your time coaching, training, and giving your team strategies, ideas, and suggestions for the clients you’re not intimately involved in. You will serve as an executive sponsor for all clients in your book of business. Most of the execution and daily in-platform optimization will be done by your team and by our in-house creative, data, and development departments.

TL;DR: You own the experience for your client and team. Your success will be measured by revenue retention rate, client growth, and team health (NPS).

What you’ll do:

  • Be the leader of your top few accounts
  • Act as an executive sponsor to all your accounts
  • Lead QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews)
  • Ensure clients in your book of business have a defined and measured plan
  • Support new logo sales for your book and upsells of your current clients
  • Monitor profitability, bandwidth, and nominate employee requisition or discipline
  • Coach and mentor your team through daily accountability and longer-term career pathing
  • Work across business units and departments to ensure everyone is aligned and deliverables are being managed efficiently and effectively

Requirements

Here’s what you’ll have:

  • 7 or more years in client-facing roles
  • 4 or more years of directly managing a team
  • Track record of success in exceeding revenue/retention goals, mentoring and growing other professionals, and developing & executing digital marketing/advertising plans that win
  • Deep and thorough understanding of digital marketing campaign lifecycle and disciplines (Paid media, Creative, SEO, Marketing Ops, CRO, Email Marketing, and Strategy)
  • An appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring creative excellence/output
  • Your discontent with the status quo and walk towards what you fear most
  • Strong leadership where you set a vision and hold a team accountable
  • Build trust through transparency & candor as well as mentorship, empathy, and training.
  • Personable, articulate, and compelling, especially while leading meetings/conversations
  • Story-telling and presentation skills with the ability to think on your feet and adapt by reading the room
  • A thirst for learning and applying emerging trends, platforms, and best practices
  • Strong business and financial acumen

Compensation for this position starts at $100k/year and can be more based on experience and performance.
